Greetings. 2012 has sure started off with a fizzle, hasn’t it? Google is becoming more closed. Smart phones are becoming larger and larger because that is all smart phone companies know to do. Plenty of gadgets debuted at CES. All of which I could careless to own.
And oh by the way. Steve Jobs is still dead.
I don’t browse through the rumor mills as I once used to. I detest everyone in technology coverage land, as nobody knew tech better than Jobs. I could always wait for the Apple keynote to see what the artist himself wanted out of the industry he helped to create. Now that Jobs is gone, frankly nobody knows tech anymore. In my mind, everybody left are nothing but snake oil salesmen (Bezos included).
So what is left that is exciting to talk about in the world of tech?
I wish I could tell ya. I started Tech Anarchy with a passion for tech. Now I just wish it all just goes away. You can like a gadget all you want to, and even be bold enough to tout its wonderful features, but none of this equates to a vision.
I guess that is what I am looking for.
2012 is about negativity on Tech Anarchy. We will be the haters that even everyone grows to hate. There is nothing good to look forward in tech and I will help illuminate the way. Perhaps then I might receive some enlightenment on how things should actually be, because as of now nobody has an answer. If corporate america’s response to Job’s passing is that of higher profits and little to no innovation to show for it, then tech is dead, and this year will have not have been a waste on Tech Anarchy.
But if I am proven wrong and there is an emergence of ideals or philosophies, then I will be the first to change my tone.
